About Me

I am a 14 year old, eighth grade student in Corpus Christi, Texas. I was born in McKinney, Texas and my parents moved back to South Texas when I was two. My sister, Hannah, was born a few years later in 2012. We have always had dogs and we currently have two, Scout and Tank. I love animals and am interested in the veterinary field.

My passions include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, surfing, and drawing. I also enjoy (most of the time) playing games and building Legos with my sister. I have learned a lot from Jiu Jitsu. I really enjoy when I have had the chance to help my Professor teach younger kids. I hope to grow in my love for the Lord, my leadership skills, and my abilities as a martial artist.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a self-defense martial art based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds. I have learned many things from BJJ. I have learned to be humble in success and how to learn from defeat. The community of people that I am lucky enough to train with have taught me patience, kindness, and respect.

Apogee is a mentorship program for young men. Apogee’s mission is to sharpen young men into leaders through experiences that prioritize servant leadership and personal growth. I have learned to strengthen myself both mentally and physically. I am also learning to think and speak for myself. I believe the life skills I am learning from the Apogee program will set me apart from others in the future.
